Welcome to the primary phase of Ark John Keats Academy.
The primary phase opened in September 2013, and now serves all year groups from Nursery through to Year 6. We take 90 new pupils into Reception every year.
Our academy is defined by its high expectations of, and belief in, all our pupils. We teach a curriculum that enables all children to make rapid academic progress across a range of subject areas, with a particular emphasis on reading, writing and numeracy. Our staff are highly skilled in ensuring children reach their potential, and in making their learning challenging, rigorous and joyful. We place great emphasis on our values of kindness, effort, aspiration, and tenacity. Throughout their time at school, we help our pupils exemplify the habits that come from these values.
The academy has a very calm and purposeful environment; we believe good discipline is essential for all children to learn effectively. We also believe enrichment is important and provide many opportunities for pupils to develop their knowledge of the world and broaden their horizons.
We are all committed to giving our pupils the best possible start in life in a brilliant all-through school that the community of Enfield can be proud of.
