Reminder:

Turkish/Kurdish parent morning (Wednesday 13th March @ 8.40 am)

The school is incredibly proud to be part of a diverse and vibrant local community. We would like to invite members of our Turkish and Kurdish community into the school on Wednesday 13th March at 8.40 am. We will have Turkish and Kurdish speaking pupils and staff on hand to give you a guided tour of the school, celebrate the work of pupils and get to meet other parents. We look forward to seeing you there

Parent Workshop on Home Learning (Thursday 28th March @ 8.40am)

Building successful home learning habits is one of the most impactful actions a parent can take to support the learning of their child. These habits set pupils up to be successful in their studies, encourage independence and provide them with the tools to be successful at university and beyond. We are running a workshop on Thursday 28th March at 8.40am for all parents to come and share their success stories with building home learning habits, for the school to share some really useful and practical advice about home learning and for parents to meet each other and share their top tips.

Refreshments will be provided and the session will last for 40 minutes. We look forward to seeing you there. Please come to the secondary reception at 8.40 am if you wish to attend.

AIM (All Ideas Matter)

The parent association of Ark John Keats is called AIM (All Ideas Matter). It is open to every parent across the two phases and works together to develop the link between school, parents and the local community. The association meets every term to discuss progress since our last meeting and to organise events, share parent feedback and work collaboratively on strengthening our school community. Last year AIM worked to improve safety outside school, share parent feedback and organised an International Culture Day, celebrating the diverse foods and backgrounds of our community. This year AIM will continue to build on the successes of last year as well as helping to run coffee morning workshops based on parental feedback through AIM. If you would like to volunteer some of your time to support AIM and have not done so, please email Mr. Mullarkey at s.mullarkey@arkjohnkeatsacademy.org. AIM is looking forward to seeing you at our future events.
