After-school Care Club

  • The school runs an after-school club from 3:30pm-5pm from Monday to Friday during term time.
  • The purpose of the club is to provide a friendly environment where children can stay until working parents are able to pick them up.
  • The club will always be on school grounds with qualified staff from school and will be led by Ms Hickman who is already a member of staff with us.
  • The club will provide activities, homework support and a healthy snack.
  • Although all pupils are welcome, we have a maximum number we can cater for, therefore this provision operates on a first come firs serve basis.
  • Bookings can be made via the primary office at primary@arkjohnkeatsacademy.org. Payment must be made via Parent Pay.

Please note: Reception children cannot attend breakfast club until January to give them time to settle properly into school life first. Nursery children cannot attend breakfast club

  • Children attending after-school club should always bring a bottle of water and their reading book.
  • Children are not permitted to bring toys from home and handheld consoles.
  • Payment will be made via parent pay. The club costs £8 per session.
  • Pick up must be at 5pm sharp. Any late pickups that occur past 5:05pm will be logged as a late pickup. After three late pickups, parents will be charged a late pick up fee of £1 per minute from 5:10pm.

The same standards of behaviour we expect from children during school hours apply to children attending after school club. Parents will be informed of behaviour that is unacceptable and the school reserves the right to remove a child’s place at the club if behaviour does not improve.
