Our sixth form is committed to providing a rigorous and transformational education that prepares our pupils for success at university and beyond. Over the two years pupils will spend studying in sixth form, we will prepare them academically for success in their academic qualifications. We will also ensure that our pupils have the knowledge and support they need to make the best choices for their future and have developed a broad range of experiences and skills to succeed when they get there.

We will ensure that our pupils:

  • are guided through the UCAS application process and received support on writing their personal statements through creating their leadership records
  • are well equipped with the knowledge and support they need to make their post 18- choices based on their aspirations, interests, and attainment through targeted meetings with tutors, trips to UCAS fairs and hearing from visitors representing a variety of pathways into employment
  • have the developed character and well-rounded education to succeed when they get there through
  • are leaders and change-makers in their community and fields through our enrichment opportunities

Alongside all of that, our pupils are also constantly exposed to opportunities and events such as university talks, mentorship programmes, and summer schools to help develop them further. We also offer specialist programmes for those targeting Medicine, Dentistry and Oxbridge and am proud to offer Ark’s Project Oxbridge and Project Healthcare, a special programme of support and guidance will be in place for pupils applying for Oxbridge and for medicine and dentistry.
