Induction and Enrolment

All pupils who have been offered a place at AJK Sixth Form will have received notification of this in writing during the Spring term. Pupils will have been asked to complete a reply slip to confirm that they intend to take up this place in the Autumn term. By the end of June, all pupils will have received an induction pack that includes their summer home learning and all the details that they will require in September. This induction pack and the summer HL can also be downloaded from the sixth form section of the school website.

Enrolment Information

All offers that the sixth form makes to year 11 pupils are conditional on their GCSE results. To secure this place, and enrol at AJK Sixth Form, pupils are required to provide evidence that they have achieved the entry requirements for the courses they wish to study. Pupils are also informed that while the school intends to run all courses, this depends upon a viable number of pupils taking up their place in the summer, and may be subject to change. Final confirmation that a pupil has been accepted onto a course, and that these courses will run, happens at enrolment.

Enrolment will be different depending on whether you are an internal pupil, currently studying at AJK, or whether you are an external pupil and will be joining the school in year 12.

Internal pupils – currently studying at AJK

For internal pupils, enrolment will take place on GCSE results day, Thursday 22nd of August.

After receiving your results, there will be a sixth form desk available where you will confirm the courses you wish to study. Any pupils who are required to change their course will be informed on results day.

You are not required to bring any additional information to enrolment.

External pupils – joining AJK in year 12

For external pupils, enrolment will take place on Tuesday 27th of August between 09:00 – 12:00.

Pupils should attend the school reception with a copy of the following information:

  • A copy of their GCSE results
  • Proof of identification such as a passport or birth certificate (if not already provided)
  • Proof of identification (if not already provided)

Pupils who are unable to attend enrolment must contact Ms Freeman (, in advance of this date, to make alternative arrangements.
