What is the Local Offer?

Under the Children and Families Act (2014), Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 0-25. This is known as the “SEN Information Report”

The purpose of the Local Offer is to enable parents and young people to find out more easily the services that are available in their area and how to access them. The Local Offer will include provision from birth to 25 years, across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector.
