Sports Day Challenge

Thursday 02 July 2020

With sports days unable to take place this year, Ark John Keats is taking part in the Ark Sports Day Challenge - to get the schools across the Ark network to collectively cycle, run and walk the distance around the world. It is 40,000km!

Ark John Keats has set 500 miles (the distance from the UK to Denmark) which we need to complete during the two weeks of the challenge, from the 1st to the 15th July.

To take on this challenge, we are calling upon you - our community of students, teachers, supporters and friends - to do an activity that add to kilometre count and helps us reach our target.

We will be seeing which Year Group will be traveling the furthest in the school and see if we can go further than our school goal of 500 miles!

To show you different ways of exercising, some of the staff and children have created an inspirational montage.

Let's inspire each other with what we can achieve together – doing something fun, healthy and positive along our way.

Be part of a sports day with a difference. To sign up, all you need to do is visit: www.arksportsdaychallenge.com

We also want to use the challenge as an opportunity for schools to raise funds for their coronavirus related needs to take advantage of the appeal’s match funding opportunity.

If participants can, they can also get sponsored by their friends and family, or choose to optionally donate to support their school after they have completed their challenge.

Good luck and let’s see which Year Group will travel the furthest!
