During the past few weeks we had Mrs Janine Anolue and her team from the NSPCC in to teach us all about things that are ‘okay’ and things that are ‘not okay’ when it comes to keeping children safe. The NSPCC mascot, Buddy, and the NSPCC team visited us and lead many assemblies and workshops in school. Teachers also focussed on discussions about safety and who to speak to in or out of school. We also focused on reiterating the message of ‘Speak out, Stay safe’ during the fund raising ‘Big Buddy Workout’ events led by Mr Ayman from ‘Five Pillars Taekwon-Do’. We learned that children should know who to speak to when they are concerned about things that make them uncomfortable, worried or upset. We ended our NSPCC awareness campaign with a whole school assembly where the Mayor of Enfield presented the 4 winning classes with certificates. All funds raised will support the NSPCC to continue delivering this important message to many schools around the country. We have raised a staggering £3,759.96, and want to say a BIG thank you to the parents and scholars (and their friends and families) who supported this campaign so kindly!
