Assessment Point 3
We spend time in the run up to each assessment point developing Key Learning Dispositions – the skills that help pupils to learn, revise and be ready to demonstrate their best work in assessments.
Key stage 3 are working on flashcards, mind maps and setting out timetables to plan their revision.
Key stage 4 are developing their use of longer revision slots, and prioritising revision tasks.
Many of our pupils have taken to using Seneca Learning (www.senecalearning.com) to complement their revision. We had a fascinating talk by their chief scientific officer last year about the science of learning, and how machine learning works. Seneca ‘learns’ what you struggle with, and focusses questions and support on your next steps, and the key parts of the specification. We would highly recommend giving it a go to support your revision.
