AJK Shortlisted for ‘Secondary School of the Year’
AJK Shortlisted for Teaching Awards ‘Secondary School of the Year’.
We are delighted to share that Ark John Keats is one of 5 schools to be shortlisted for the Pearson National Teaching Awards ‘Secondary School of the Year’.. Our progress so far is down to the unrelenting hard work of our staff, the support of our families and the determination of our pupils and this is a great recognition for all of the members of our school community.
The comments from the judges were: “Ark John Keats was nominated for Secondary School Teacher of the Year for working unrelentingly with parents and the local community to provide an education for North Enfield that enables students to make a future of their choice. They are also recognized for their truly comprehensive intake experiences a broad and rigorous curriculum based on excellence both academically and pastorally.”
Ark John Keats will has a chance to win be ‘Secondary School of the Year’ which will be announced at the televised UK ceremony later in the year, broadcast on the BBC as ‘Britain’s Classroom Heroes’.
The Pearson National Teaching Awards is an annual celebration of exceptional teachers, founded in 1998 by Lord David Puttnam to recognise the life-changing impact an inspirational teacher can have on the lives of the young people they teach.
