Parent Feedback

Feedback from the parent questionnaire (Parent Voice)

At the end of last year we asked parents to give their feedback on the school. Parent voice is an integral part of the school development plan and we had over 330 responses from our parents (the OFSTED average is  15). Our parents are overwhelmingly happy with the school. No single question received less than 90% positive feedback with the majority of questions receiving over 95% agree or strongly agree. Of the 337 responses, 70% (236) replied positively to every question and 21% (71 parents) responded ‘strongly agree’ to at least 13 of the 14 value judgement questions. Parents praised the combination of discipline, academic rigour and character development in the development of their child with comments such as “Parents greatly appreciate all the planning and hard work done by staff which is producing excellence in our children” (Y2 parent) and “Amazing school and all involved should feel proud” (Y9 parent).

As a school we identified catch ups, home learning and uniform as an area where parents wanted more work done. This has been built into the school development plan and new initiatives will run this year based on this feedback, for example parental workshops based on supporting children with their home learning. Thank you to all those who participated. The questionnaire will run again next year and the school will provide support to increase the amount of parents contributing. Attached you can find a summary of the questionnaire’s finding contrasted against the average responses based on the national average from OFSTED’s parent view.
