As part of our Character programme, our pupils have spent the week working on developing greater curiosity. We have been challenging our pupils to ask questions, not just in their lessons, but to better understand themselves.

Our year 8 pupils have been looking towards the future and considering their long term and short term goals. They have then pushed their curiosity further and tried to work out what motivates them to achieve these things. Lively discussions were had on Monday as to whether extrinsic or intrinsic motivations were better for their futures. Many form groups considered what rewards were worth striving for, examining everything from merits to money. By the end of the sessions our pupils were more able to explain the reasons behind their aspirations and had further questions to drive their exploration of where their education might lead them.
