Wonderful Work - PRE

Last half term, students in year 9 considered the question of how we should explain death to children.  They considered not only the different accounts of what happens when you die, but also how to make this accessible for children younger than themselves.  They then used this to create their own grief books for children.  We have had some truly wonderful pieces of work across Year 9 as you will see from the picture.  Gelcira’s beautifully illustrated story about a family of bear, really explained death and grief in an age appropriate way.  Similarly Sesil’s booklet really broke down the topics into manageable chunks for children.  These pieces of work really demonstrate student’s creativity and capacity to explain information that they have studied in a variety of ways.
