CURRICULUM DAY - The British Museum
On 15th March, half of our year 7 pupils visited the British Museum as part of Curriculum Day. The pupils had a chance to use their skills from many different subjects as they explored the museum. They practised drawing techniques learned in Art by copying some Assyrian carvings of lions, and even saw the ‘Standard of Ur’: a mosaic picture that they had used as a source of evidence in History. The pupils’ enthusiasm throughout the day was fantastic, and they really expressed their curiosity through some great questions. Throughout the trip members of the public commented on their levels of responsibility and the knowledge they demonstrated throughout all the exhibitions.
