Wonderful Work in Music

On Thursday 21st June, we had our first ever AJK charity summer concert! The pupils performed a mixture of musical performances to display all of their progress and hard work in music this year. The concert involved many different styles of music from African Drumming, to the Saz group, to different soloists, to the choirs, to band and finishing with a big finale involving about 65 pupils (and some guest members of staff!) on stage! The pupils and staff worked extremely hard and we are very proud of what they were able to achieve on this evening. We were also raising money for a charity called Limited Resources Teacher Training on the night, who work with countries from around the world who face many educational barriers and have have very limited access to teacher training, providing them with high-quality training, sustainably improving educational outcomes for generations of students in the future. Thanks to everyone who donated on the night, if you’d like to donate to the cause or read more, see Ms Morris’ page here: (https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/mariagoestorwanda) as she is off to Rwanda with the charity this summer, or check out www.lrtt.org.

The music team would like to thank everyone that performed, helped out or attended on the night. Please enjoy the video of the finale number ‘This is me’ below! We look forward to seeing you at our next AJK musical event!
