Wonderful Work in History
In Year 8 our historians have been looking at one of the most important years in English history – 1066. So far this year they have been thinking about why there were so many problems and arguments that year.
Here Ulas has used his do now activity to recall the key information about the Duke of Normandy wanting to invade England in 1066.
On the right hand side he has written up two paragraphs explaining the background to this as he discusses how the English King Edward not having a son and promising two different people that they could be King led to arguments.
Next lesson he will be making his work even better by really explaining why it would cause problems for England if both William and Harold wanted to be the new King of England.
Well done Ulas on some really thoughtful and beautifully presented work!
