Wonderful Work in Geography

This term in Geography, Year 10 have been studying Weather and Climate Hazards. Pupils have challenged their thinking about climate change and its long term causes, researching how the Earth’s climate has swung between glacial and interglacial periods. Pupils have investigated the evidence we have for these events, which far pre-dates human history and provides a fascinating insight into the history of our planet. Here, Helin (10GE2) has annotated a graph of changing climate over the last 2.5 million years, and considered how tree rings, ice cores, pollen records as well as historical sources can prove that the graph is correct. An excellent start to a very interesting new topic.
